ok guys here is what i have done so far

-replaced stator-new

-replaced coil-new

replaced CDI -new

-tested kill switch

-tested pick up coil

-eliminated key switch

-and eliminated the TORS

I have done all the tests that I was told to do,and it all tested OK

Everything was running fine, until I tried to turn it off by the key and it did not turn off. turned it off with the kill switch and it would not start again. but if I bump start it, it will run.

ps. it has low compression - could that be affecting my spark???

thanks

jeff

How low of compression?,The spark would still be strong with no pistons attached....What is the gap between the pickup and balancer?Check your ground wire on loom?Good luck.

If you have low compression towing it to start it will work because it gets the pistons moving fast enough to get it to fire up. When you say you have no spark but it will start if you tow it dont sound right. Have you pulled the plugs and kicked it over to see if they are firing?

compression is at 60 lbs,the gap is the thickness of a busisness card, dont own feeler gauges yet,
