00-banshee Posted January 21, 2009 Author Report Posted January 21, 2009 I would imagine the fuel/air flow the 2:1 set up provides is choking your bike down towards the lower end--regardless of how the exhaust gases are leaving your motor. It's going to be limited by the amount of air and fuel flowing in. You carbs could be maxed out at "7000" RPMs, while your exhaust will still be wanting more, up to it's "9000" RPMs. I think that would make your bike run wierd too... Like running big bore pipes on a small bore bike. I made up those numbers, and someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but I think it would hinder your performance, when compared to a dual carb set up. The thing I have learned about Banshees (and almost everything in life) is to spend what is necessary to get the proper equipment. I would just run duals (26-34mm depending on what other plans you have...if it's stock porting, you obviously don't need the same size carb a dune ported bike will need.) so what size carbs would u suggest i use with the vforce reeds and the wiseco .40, if i am planning to get a pipe to i am new at working on banshees i have a polaris predator 500 and a honda 400ex and both are polar opposites compared to banshees Quote
