dudly Posted December 22, 2008 Report Posted December 22, 2008 hey guys im back, n i have another problem i just got my top end redone by jeff and its been running for around a week, running great then it happened. it died and wouldnt start, so i let it sit about 3 mins, n i gave it a kick then it backfired and started, drove it about a mile home and hit the kill switch to shut it off and went inside for about an hour then went to start it again and no luck so i pulled the plugs and no spark, so after wiggling some wires and staring at it for a while i decide to pull start it, went about 30ft and it fired up n ran good, so i unhooked n drove about 30ft and it died, pulled it again and no luck. i have no idea wat any of the electric coponents are to check except the coil but i called to buy one and the guy said that they should almost never go out cause there completely sealed so i have no ida wat to check or how to any help would be appreciated Quote

278 Posted December 22, 2008 Report Posted December 22, 2008 The three main ones I can think of are... if the T.O.R.S. is still on get rid of it because it will cause all kinds of problems. If it's not that check your pick up gap on the fly wheel, but before all that get a new set of plugs just to make sure its not that Quote
AKheathen Posted December 22, 2008 Report Posted December 22, 2008 ohm your coil, check your harness, check your pickup gap, ohm the stator. check for continuity between the black/white wire and black wire at the cdi plug. check the brown and red wires at your keyswitch Quote
