You could have the cable that I've got. It's not new. It's in decent shape though. I think the boot that goes on the throttle end is cracking but still usable. How is the riding up there? I've been wanting to either go there or Little Sahara. Both are quite a drive for me. Which ever one has the better facilities would be the one. Can you camp up there? you can't camp right on the sand dunes, but the state part is fairly close and there are many other camp grounds. starting about a year ago you must trailer in your bike or have it in the back of a truck. and they do have a voucher system between labor day and memorial day. All of my family is up in the area, and im in alabama, so the drive is pretty good 13.5 hours. ive never been to little sahara, so i can't be a good judge on that. i will buy these carbs off you, i get paid on the 30th, so how does the first of the year sound with paypal? How do you go about getting vouchers? stock motor huh? carbs gonna be a little big with stock porting but if you intend on doing some port work in the near future they're not a bad all around kind of carb to run.like stated you won't gain much if anything on bottom end but could give ya a bit on top.jetting aint nothing with them also. Yea for sure fine after some porting.I only seen he was putting them on a stock motor and his builder told him his stock carbs are junk, he didn't mention anything about a project that i seen.Don't take it the wrong way,i'm not trying to ruin the sale for ya..it wouldn't benefit me any for that matter anyways. :thumbsup: Quote
michigan_soler Posted December 28, 2008 Report Posted December 28, 2008 haha, its cool. my building me basicly me and the people on the forum. the tops are stripped and that is why it wouldn't run. why buy stock when i can go bigger?! the city you are looking for is silver lake, mi or mears, mi or even shelby, mi. mears and shelby are basicly right there off the highway, and silver lake is the city that the dunes are in. as for these new carbs, im getting cable(s) and the carbs. if i get pics of my air box will that help in figuring out what else i need? im only up here for another day, then i go back home till april when i have 1 day to work on it before we hit the dunes. also, is there a thread somewhere around here about tuning these carbs that i cant find?
