shogs Posted December 8, 2008 Report Posted December 8, 2008 So heres the deal. I have 200 dollars and my parents have 500 to spend on me for christmas. I ride nothing but trails and wanna make my banshee run good in them. Its stock other than ehs racing lid, fmf fatties and powercore 2's, and a K&N. Also have nerfs and plan on getting a timing plate. I figured i'll do suspension, controls, then engine work. Should I get +2+1 if i plan on getting shocks? I can get this set http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...em=200281619612 for around 250-280 hopefully then works shocks for like 300 or so. Then I wanna replace my bearings in my rear end and what not. What do you guys think If i have about 500 to spend this christmas? I also wanted to get a 2into1 but those run for 400. My bike is a bitch to start right now and i dunno what the carbs set for now so i might do a little work there too. What do you guys think I should do. Those arms sell in 2 hours so let me know what you think. Thanks Quote
RUDEDAWG Posted December 8, 2008 Report Posted December 8, 2008 You can get the wicked a arms for a little more $. They have had good reviews on here in the last couple of weeks. You are definitely on the right track, suspension first, engine mods second. I am bassackwards on my set up! :ermm: Quote
flyhighprerunner Posted December 8, 2008 Report Posted December 8, 2008 Just right off the top of my head I think to myself, do you really want chrome arms for trail riding? I wouldn't but that's me. Because the first rock that gets kicked up from the bike in front of you and hits those arms, it will just keep chipping from there..... Quote

You've got a point but I dont care about the chrome as much as I care about the deal. I can use my own tie rod ends and sell my front end and get some cash back in the long run. My tie rods I got cost me like 60 I can sell those and make a little back. Quote
flyhighprerunner Posted December 8, 2008 Report Posted December 8, 2008 I have a feeling those arms are going to go up but keep an eye, i just searched really quick and i found these....http://cgi.ebay.com/87-06-YAMAHA-BANSHEE-Y...%3A1%7C294%3A50 Quote
