Hi i am new to this site. I just purchased a used set of 34mm Keihin carbs for my 01 banshee. My banshee is running a cool head 22cc domes, shear in frame pipes, i think trinity stage 5 reeds, it is bored .80 over. I am 100 ft above sealevel in Wilmington,De. I started with 45 piolet jets, 158 mains does this sound right. I put the carbs on and started it and it fired rite up sounded pretty good didnt bog when i rev it up. It woulnt idle so i ajusted the cable as far out as i could and it barely idles. I think the carb tops are a little messed up when the adjustment hooks to them so i think the tops are messed up so i guess order new tops and maybe a new cable i think it could be stretched. Were is a good wesite to use to buy carb parts like jets, cables, and carb tops. Any help would be great Thanks WILL

Sounds close on the jetting, check your plugs so see if your rich or lean, white = lean, black = rich, you want them to be light brown. To adjust your idleing you turn your choke knob, don't use the cable. You should invest in a carb sync tool to sync the carbs its the best investment i ever made. Go to F.A.S.T. Racing (site sponcer) for parts and the sync tool.

Oh and welcome to the HQ!!

Thanks well i am gonna order some pods, new throttle cable, and carb tops because i turned the knob clockwise as far as it would go and it still barely idles with the cable as far out as i can so i guess it is stretched and the carb tops are a little messed up from the person i bought them from. I took it for a real quick spin earlier without filters and ran threw first threw fourth then pulled the plugs and they were a dark brown. One thing i did notice is it didn't feel like it had much more power with the larger carbs but like i said all i took it out for was a little spin down the street, but did feel like it didn't take as long to hit the power band like the stock carbs did. Once i get the new parts in i will try to ride it a little better and i will inform ya of how its running. THANKS WILL

Make sure tors is not giving you the idle problem. You probably already knew that...just a heads up.

45 pilots sound about right, but the 158 main may be a bit fat. Good place to start though.
