thehillsiderider Posted November 23, 2008 Report Posted November 23, 2008 So i am still having clutch sdjustment issues. I have taken the clutch out and put it back in so much i could do it in my sleep.I have followed the manual to a T and try to make the adjustments they recommend and i still get nothing no movement at the handle or anywhere. Its just a tusk offroad clutch with new springs. I push the lever over so the tits line up and turn the adj screw til it touches and back off 1/4 turn and still nothing. Im positive i have the plate properly seated and torqued down. I got a brand new cable and im sure its the right one. It acts like the push rod isn't long enough. I dont now out of ideas can you guys enlighten me on any missed steps or tips to point me in the right direction. thanks Quote
blowit Posted November 23, 2008 Report Posted November 23, 2008 You didn;t really say what your problem is but sounds like maybe lack if full disengagement. This can be caused by worn inner our outer drive hubs of the clutch assy, plates don't freely move in and out of hub assys, pressure plate not opening symetrically due to compression spring issues, and hub installation errors. Engagement problems would be insufficient compression spring tension, pressure plate bottoming due to lack of plate stack thickness, worn plates, or incorrect oil in trans. Car oils will cause clutch slip. Brandon Quote
