shogs Posted November 19, 2008 Report Posted November 19, 2008 Does my manual say to put 50/50 water/coolant mix in my reservoir and my bottle says never mix with water. Guy at shop said it'd work fine. Would I have hurt my banshee if i put 100% coolant in? Quote

Guy at shop said it'd work fine. Would I have hurt my banshee if i put 100% coolant in? The coolant you bought might already be pre-mixed. Or, maybe its a special coolant? Water transfers heat ALOT better then coolant. That's why there is water in coolant systems. If coolant systems were straight coolant, they wouldn't be nearly as efficient. MY 2 cents.... Quote
hercalmighty Posted November 19, 2008 Report Posted November 19, 2008 +1 alot of coolant you get at the shop are already premixed with water. Just read the bottle and see Quote
2001Stroker Posted November 19, 2008 Report Posted November 19, 2008 Is it green anti-freeze, or is it orange Dex-Cool? Is it Prestone? Advance? What brand? But yes, alot of companies are pre-mixing the coolant, so you don't have to. Plus, it makes you have to buy twice as much, for the same price of 100% coolant. It should say somewhere on the bottle 50/50. Quote
