I was wondering if theres any specific spot on your swingarm that is the best to remove to shorten it. A teacher at my monroe tech school from welding told me he would shorten my swingarm and weld it for me. I was wondering whats a good idea on length (-1, 1.5, or 2) also. I need to know where to cut because if I have that measurement he offered to do everything else. So pretty much i'm wondering if it matters where you cut it as long as its between the shock mount and frame mount and doesn't cut off any chain guides or guards. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks

you absolutly do not want to cut it between the shock mount and frame, that will change shock position/angle and you will run into a handfull of geometry problems.

Cut it after the shock mount and take out 2".

I wouldn't think you would want to shorten it between the shock and the frame, seems to me you would cut it out between the shock and the rear axle. As far as a measurement I really don't know, I have an extra 6 inches back there.

Cool I didn't really think about in too much detail because I'm not good with very exact measurements I just know that a few people around came away satisfied with there work and I hope they wanna share it  .
