I know I've seen this question and I did a search but, with no results. What does it take to convert back a set of Mikuni's from alcohol/methanol to gas? I'm sure there's more than on question for this topic, I just don't know them yet.

I'd like to hear someone pronounce "Converstion", I know I can't.

Back conversion? I'm guessing that is what you are trying to say.

You'll have to buy new dump tubes and needles. Not sure on the price but it's probably ~20-30 bucks for the dump tubes and the needles I don't know are 10-20 bucks. Goto sudco and they have every part you could ever imagine for small engine carbs. You could also ask BigRed350x, I know he's converted a set to alky and probably knows how to put them back on gas. I just know that the dump tubes on mikunis are interchangeable unlike keihns where you drill the dump tube and you have alky carbs forever.

Thanks fella's , sometimes I try to get cute with my topic titles and it back fires especially when I spell wrong. That is what I was getting at as far as turning gas Mikuni's back to gas after they have been converted to alky. So is the only real issue the dump tubes as long as they haven't been drill out to make them permanent alky's?

In mikunis you just by the smaller dump tubes and replace them, as the dump tubes are removable. Keihns are not removable. That's why everybody drills them out to make alky carbs. Just get the right dump tubes and probably a new needles and you'll be fine. As far as the parts numbers or sizes go I'm not sure.
