Skittle Posted November 5, 2008 Report Posted November 5, 2008 Just picked up a 96' Banshee with some mild work done. Guy explained that it has a 22cc wiseco domed piston. I wanna make sure the bike can run on pump gas fine,as he said it's currently running on a 100 octane mix but he said pump will be ok. Sorry for the noob question,thanks fellas. Quote

dajogejr Posted November 5, 2008 Report Posted November 5, 2008 there is one true, fool proof way to tell if a bike needs higher octane or not...compression ratio. However, if you're running 22cc domes, more than likely premium pump gas will work just fine. Quote

I think the baseline for premium pump to a 50/50 mix with race fuel is about 155lbs. I have 165lbs and I mix 50/50 with 100LL AVGAS. Edited November 9, 2008 by jayzx750 Quote
