Putting lights on the shee

I have been thinking of putting some lights on my shee. It has none now and the previous owner cut the damn brackets off too. Would I be able to run a pair of 50watt halogen lights without any mods or higher wattage stator? All my factory wiring and switch is intact

I think you have to convert to DC for those.

They wont be as bright as a 50w halogen usually is. You need to run 35 watt bulbs with a stock stator.

i tried those same lights and i couldnt see 10 feet in front of me. the stock ones are much brighter

yea i was planning on doing the 35 watt bulbs. they were cheap and mainly for looks, i usually dont ride in the dark. My main concern was I want lights without the DC conversion

i just put those lights on my shee but i havent rode at night with them. is it gonna burn my stator or anything up if i run them?

I have been running 50 watt lights for years.. it wont hurt anything. They are not very bright though, if you wana ride at night they are not a good idea. I don't ride much at night and only use these lights cause they are cheap and around here you need lights to be legal... doesn't matter what kind of lights or how bright they are as long as you have something.

on my friends shee we put a 5lb batery under the radiator and ran a switch under the seat it has plent of power, works great and best of all if u kill the banshee from locking up the back breaks the lights dont go out on you good luck

I probably wont ride it at night either. I just like the looks of the lights on it better then no lights and they were cheap...$15bux. Got them wired up today and they are dim at idle but once u rev it a little they come on nice and bright. Doubt they are any good in the dark though but may be enough if you get in a pinch though. Basically just there to look good. I am gonna put the 35watt bulbs in them though just to be safe.

Been lookn for the 35w's. Where are you finding them? Homepot?

I have em on my bike but they just for looks not hooked up. if you wanna ride at night you need to get some of them HELLA's them hoes are nice! i like the way they look and they are for purpose also. got the baja look :thumbsup:
