lt1bird Posted October 20, 2008 Report Posted October 20, 2008 My cases are machined for 72mm cylinders....will the 73mm cheetah cyl fit without any additional machining? Thanks! Quote
J-Madd Posted October 21, 2008 Report Posted October 21, 2008 I would think so.......wouldn't the OD of the sleeve be the determining factor there? The cylinder casting should be the same (I think). Maybe someone else could say for sure if it will work. Quote
lt1bird Posted October 21, 2008 Author Report Posted October 21, 2008 Ya, im thinking the cyl sleeve would be so close on a 72mm vs 73mm bore that there would be enough play to fit..... Im hoping i dont have to machine the cases to make the 73mm power valve cyl fit.... Quote
pabansheematt Posted October 21, 2008 Report Posted October 21, 2008 My cases are machined for 72mm cylinders....will the 73mm cheetah cyl fit without any additional machining? Thanks! You building a 485? I should fit. The outside diameter of the sleeve is the same. Quote
lt1bird Posted October 22, 2008 Author Report Posted October 22, 2008 Im building a 535 so the 73mm bore is a tad larger than the cubs 72mm..... im thinking it will fit...if it does not then im going to have to machine the block... really dont want to....all the crap is adding up LOL Quote
