Swing Arm Help NEEDED !

Hello, i recently bought a banshee from a guy up north from me. It was a really sweet deal that I could not pass up. Any who, it has some issues that I am trying to fix but i need help! I cant get the swing arm bolt out! Is there something im missing? Also where is the ID number on the frame? and how do i tell what year it is. It has the other style upper front control arms. I think they are called J bars? Please help , I wanna Ride!!!!!

Well once the nut is off. Use a hammer and a screwdriver and knock the bolt through. BUT DONT SWING for the fences. Light taps will work. Better yet use a rachet extension instead of a screwdriver.

 

The vin is on the left side of the frame on the bottom bar, bascially right below the motor.

 

I forgot how to tell the year. But there is a sticky someone about vin #'s. Use the search button and type in Vin. Search and you will find it.

Last # of the vin, but if you have the j arms its a 87

J arm is 87 threw 89 and possibly 90. i have a 87 and had one hell of a time getting that bolt out. i had to cut it out and buy a new one. the bolt was froze fast to the inner sleeve. if your lucky you wont have that problem. good luck.
