bike starts but wont run

well my buddies having problems with his sons lt 50 suzuki. so he called me because its a 2 stroke. he says the bike will start but then dies out. he said he hasnt ridden the bike since july.

im going over tomorrow to check it out.

can someone give me a checklist of possible problems?

Throw a new plug in her and clean the carb. Bet she'll start right up. Careful though those little lt50's are fast! Lol. My brother just ran a 20.00sec pass at the track today with his daughters little 50. Lol
