POORBOY350 Posted September 21, 2008 Report Posted September 21, 2008 (edited) i have a 421 cub havent rode it alot but what would be the best pipes to run with the cub. cause mine has paul turner mids and it feels like they hold it back a lil bit. i havent rode it enough to tell you if it runs hot or if it is reliable. but i really hope it aint gonna give me any problems!@! but i just got the bike yesterday and it has an aftermarket radiator. and a lockout clutch. i think when you get that much power u have to have a lockout not sure tho. sorry i couldnt help. but it def has some power! i just feel like it would probly open up a lil bit with some better pipes waht yal thinkg. lt1bird Posted September 21, 2008 Author Report Posted September 21, 2008 Matt, do you notice much more vibration than a stock stroke??? Quote
pabansheematt Posted September 21, 2008 Report Posted September 21, 2008 Matt, do you notice much more vibration than a stock stroke???I dont think the stroke has much to do with it. But yes, I does vibrate more then a stock motor. But when you more then double the horse power, you gotta expect that. Quote
lt1bird Posted September 22, 2008 Author Report Posted September 22, 2008 Im putting the engine in a streetbike chassis, I wonder if it would be better to stick with smaller displacment to keep the vibration down...like 421.....?? Quote
lt1bird Posted September 25, 2008 Author Report Posted September 25, 2008 Poorboy, are you going to change from the mids? Quote

You will definatly find more power with different pipes... go to some CPI's or Shearer's. Cubs are meant to scream... mid pipes are just holding you back. Quote
