  1. How old are they and what is there condition? Do you have any pics? Price?
  2. I was looking at a couple different companies that have the heim joints, but don't know to much about them. What is the differences between a heim joint and a stocker? Dune Fest, we are thinking about it if we can get a site reserved. If it was anything like Memorial weekend, we may pass on it. I really want to go, but will have to see what the Misses says.
  3. We found the best and cheapest place was Progressive. It cost us $240/year for four quads. I can't beat that! I have had my banshee attempted to be stolen before my dog scare the culprits off. Maybe a dog is better insurance. Ha, Ha!!!
  4. While I was riding on the dunes last weekend. I popped over a steep dune and smacked into the bank on the other side and sent one front wheel north/south and the other east/west. It looked worse than it really is, but I now have a bent tie rod and end and was wondering what I should replace them with. I don't think that stock tie rods and ends can stand up to the jumping and bumps that they have gone through lately. I need something that will stand up to time, but I don't want to spend an arm and a leg on them. What has everyone tried and found reliable for replacement tie rods and ends? I know that there are alot of different brands, but I figure I need to ask you all what you like and what I need to stay away from. I would really appreciate any help on this. thanks....
  5. Last night I was putting on my new (used) +4 swingarm and noticed that the bolt that connects the connecting rod, from the dogbone, to the swingarm is about 1/2" too long. It is the stock bolt from my stock swingarm and I tried it on it to make sure I had the right bolt and it was the right length. Now I need to get a shorter bolt for it to fit properly. Does anyone know where I could get a replacement one or my other alternatives. thanks for the help!
  6. The bolt is fine, but once the bolt is out it should just come out. Not so, it is like hung up on the frame with something else holding it on there. I was wondering if there is an inner sleeve that I need to pounded out. If so, how do I do it, I can't seem to figure that part out. Thanks for the offer of the replacement dogbone. My buddy hooked me up a while back.
  7. I got a small problem... I am trying to replace my dogbone (arm, relay) and can't get it off the frame. It seems to be stuck on there and I don't know what to do to get it off. Any help would be appreciated. I am stumped on this....
  8. I just picked up a set on ebay with spacers. What I didn't pay attention to on the auction was that one of the cable adjusters was missing. Now I have to figure out where to buy just those couple of parts and a cable for it. Any suggestions and part numbers for them?
  9. I thought Balad was a pretty nice place compared to some of the holes I lived at before. There you had good food, PX, MWR, and some nice facilities. When we first got to Iraq, I slept in the back of my truck, took bottle water baths (1 per week), ate out of a MKT, and used a porta potty. I wouldn't say that Balad was that God-awful, would you?
  10. I'm going to give it one more shot tonight. If I don't succeed, then I will use my swingarm that I am using now in my Banshee. This is my spare swinger that I am attempting success on. I will be eventually selling it off in bits and pieces if anyone is interested in them.
  11. Sounds like what I did last night I will have to go to the dealership and pick up a Motion Pro and pay the stealerprice for it.
  12. Yesterday when I was trying to pull off my flywheel, my puller decided that it wasn't going to go in straight and I forced it on thinking that it was tight because it was a new puller. As I tried to pull it off, the puller popped off and the threads on it were stripped. The threads on the flywheel seem to look fine, but not quite sure. Is the puller suppose to go on tight or not? What do I need to do to get this to work. If my flywheel threads are stripped, how am I going to get it off then?
  13. Good Luck over there!!! I just got back from being there for 14 months of pure fun. I spent time in Mosul, Balad and Baghdad (Camp Victory). You will enjoy your time there. CV is probably one of the nicer places to be at, not necessarily the safest, but not bad. Keep us informed of what is going on. You can let us know from one of the MWR internet cafes there.
  14. check out Patriot Racing http://www.patriotracing.net/ I know that he does them also and fairly reasonably on the price. Clutch cover assembly, polished w/ exchange $259.95 ($359.95 w/o exch). Not a bad deal!
  15. I tried all of this and still no luck. I don't know what to do! I am ready to pull my hair out now. What's next?
