I'm pretty sure the chain is stretching, although I have thought of your point on several occasions. In order for the chain to become unadjusted, wouldn't the tensioning screws have to back out somehow? Is there any other way the adjustments would get messed up? Throw me a bone here fellas . . . I'm desperate. -Craig

Yeah, I'm positive the chain wasn't too tight. It's like the thing just continually stretched. Even when the chain loosened up from riding, if I didn't tighten it again, it would get even looser as I kept riding. The same thing happened on the second chain I bought, but that one was a much cheaper chain. Aside form buying a new swingarm, I'm at a loss for what to do. I can assure you that I'm sick of adjusting that damn chain everytime I ride though. -Craig

Yeah, I do have the stock tensioner screws. Can I put longer ones in and get additional travel? In fact, I think I stripped them out the last time I tried to tighten my chain, so I need to get new ones anyway. -Craig

I bought a Sidewinder chain quite some time ago and have been forced to keep re-tightening it for a couple years now. Last summer, I finally bottomed out the tensioning screws on the carrier and decided I'd have to take a link out of the chain and start all over again . . . WRONG!. I took a link out, but then my chain was too short and I couldn't get the master link to connect. I figured I messed something up, so I decided to buy a new chain. After I installed it, I found the tension screws had to be in a little more than halfway to get the chain tightened properly. After two trips to the dunes, the screws are bottomed out again. I decided to measure this time instead of taking a link out, and found that if I do take a link out, my chain will once again be too short. I've called various shops and no one seems to have an answer for me. Have any of you had this problem before? Aside from buying a new swingarm with a round carrier, which is very tempting, what the hell can I do?! Any help is appreciated. -Craig

There's a guy who is selling a Leager's swingarm and claims it to be 22 inches long (from end to end I believe). He thinks it's stock length, but is not positive. If I had my bike with me, I go measure my stock swingarm for myself, but unfortunately, I don't. Does anyone know how a 22 in. round housing swingarm compares to the stocker? -Craig

I guess I might have been a little vague in my question. I know that the three differ in thickness . . . but I didn't think there was very much difference between 75W and 85W. I only thought that Bel Ray made 80W. Does anyone use a different weight other than 80W in their tranny? -Craig

I've always used Bel Ray Gear Saver tranny fluid in 80W form. I was looking on Rocky Mountain ATV today and noticed they had 75 and 85W. Is there that big of a difference between these three weights of oil? What are the pros/cons of each? Any ideas? -Craig

Before you ask, I've already tried searching for the answer and came up empty handed. I need to know how much fluid the Banshee tranny holds for a routine oil change. I would simply go out to the garage and look at my bike or the service manual, but I don't have either with me at the moment. Thanks in advance. -Craig

Do you have a standard, K&N-type Outerwears on your foam filter? Any issues with sand clogging up the filter? Does anyone else have an opinion? -Craig

I'm tired of the stupid stock airbox on my bike, so I've been looking into getting a pair of clamp on filters. However, I've been told that foam filters dirt better than the K&N material. I found some Uni foam clamp ons from Rocky Mountain ATV, but I'm worried about sand sticking to them, since that's mostly what I ride in. Does anyone have foam clamp ons, and if so, how do you like them? -Craig

I have Vito's in my Banshee. I'm happy with them, but I'm not sure they're any better than any other needle. -Craig

I currently have a set of Skate II's on my Banshee and am looking to buy a set of Haulers. I was just curious as what the difference is performance-wise in running a 20x10 paddle as opposed to a 22x10. What do you fellas prefer and why? -Craig
