my main question here is what the dial/screw is for ?

a while back i bought a cdi similar to this one https://www.amazon.com/DB-Electrical-IYA6020-Multicurve-2GU-85540-51-00/dp/B0081S9ITC only purchased because the other one blew when i was fitting a lighting kit (start button press killed cdi) it works fine but what is the adjustable screw/dial about ? mines in a different location on the side
