  1. The pistons are 65.00 mm I'm want to know the stroke. When I had the cylinders off I looked at the rods and they are marked with ck or ch 115. And I felt around on the cases where the rods stick up and noticed that it appears to have been trenched. As I stated before I'm going to buy a set of lectron carbs for it and want to give as much information as I can about my motor.
  2. Just reused the pistons that were in it. And put new rings on them. Everything was in spec. I had everything checked out. I blew the base gaskets on it last year
  3. I have a 98 Yamaha banshee. I am trying to identify if I have a stroker crank or not?Reason being is because I want to buy a set of lectron carbs for it and I want to give as much information as I can to them when I order the carbs. The engine in still in the frame and not apart. I have rebuilt the top end and i noticed the the rods are marked with ck or ch 115 on them but I do remember for sure the rods had 115 on them and from what i could see it appears that the cases have been trenched. There are groves cut in to the cases where the rods are that i could feel and see when i had the cylinders off the cylinders appear to be stock with casting numbers on them. No spacers Thanks for the help.

  5. I plan on it. Just trying to have the parts to fix it so I don't blow it up
  6. Ok so I recently replaced both intake boot on my 98 yamaha banshee. I pushed it out to start it and it fired up with choke on then died I turned the choke off and it fired right up. I revved it 2 time to about 1/4 throttle and on the second time it made a loud popping noise and revved to full throttle. I turned the key off and it shutdown. I pushed it back in the garage and pulled both carbs and intakes off I checked the reeds witch are stock reeds and cages and they are fine. I noticed that the left cylinder base gasket was wet so I pulled the cylinder and it didn't seal good. I'm going to replace the gaskets is there anything else that I should check. It's a 65.00 mm piston with a 4 mil stroker crank, stage 4 exhaust and not sure about the silencers but they look like they could be fmf but not sure. I don't have tores or parking brake, I have installed a teather kill switch. Any help is appreciated
  7. In my case no both look off.
  8. My question is what are the measurements for the stock swingarm where the carrier mounts to the swingarm arm. I think the carrier mounts on the swingarm arm are bent and need to know the space between them . Thanks in advance

  11. Got my 98 banshee out yesterday to just ride around and while riding at slow speeds and rmps it just shut off. I kicked it and it started back up and as long as it was low rpms it ran fine but as soon as I upped the rpms it would die and start back up. Any help would be greatly appreciated. This is my first banshee. I'm leaning towards fuel delivery or a wire grounding out some where.
