KInda just sputters and spits . Seems like it accelerates good, only got into 3rd gear tho. Just once I start downshifting and coasting to a stop, it starts spitting. Thought for sure it was the carb. So I cleaned them really good. Even bought new jets, main and pilot. Jetting is good, cuz Ive been running these for 20+ years. Plugs look fine. Compression is around 125 for both. Fairly stock : T5's, Boyesen reeds, K&N pods. 320 main and 27.5 pilot. Any thing other than carbs I should be looking at?

Appreciate replies. Tried the plumbers tape, but it didnt seem to be tight enough. So I put an ad on craigslist and just bought a used one.

The threads on my carbs are wore down so bad, where the slide cap screws on, that I can't tighten them anymore. Any ideas other then new carbs, since I'm supposed to go riding in a couple days. I looked on amazon and they have a full set of carbs for around $80, but I'm not sure I want to even bother with those. Thanks
