  1. i may have figured it out when i use my multi meter to check the ignition coil it reads ol so im gonna order a new one and see what happens push starting spins the motor faster causing more spark. its a starting point
  2. hey there I have an 87 banshee it won't fire up with the kick starter but if I pull start it it fires up. I rode it after getting it started it runs great strong pull but won't idle I just put bigger pilot jets in it and tried kicking it still won't start also if I get it fired up and have it in neutral after a couple times of revving it a bit the throttle gets hung up and will eventually come down on the rpms it almost seems like the cable is sticking somewhere any info would be appreciated as this is my first 2 stroke.
  3. hey there so i have an 87 banshee, ive did a bit of work to it but this is the first 2 stroke ive worked on. i did the basics on an old machine i rebuilt the clutch, rebuilt the carbs. new plugs a set of t4 pipes. the issue that im having is a possible ignition coil. it fires on one side but not the other when i switch the coil wires around the problem moves as well. so im thinking ignition coil. my main question is what makes it want to rev high? ill be able to rev the throttle it will take its time to go back to an idle. then after a couple revs it just stays at a high rev so i have to kill it with the switch. ive already replaced the reeds with vforce reeds. will that ignition issue make it run at a high idle like that?
