You talking about on top of the motor or the one going from the shifter to the other side? An did you have to split the case.

I rebuilt my motor myself, its probably got less that 40hrs on it since then.. An I could have sworn I put new bearings all the way through.. Bit I didn't replace shift drum, trans gears, shift forks, shifting shaft or the shifting star mechanism. It's just odd to me it shifted like a dream and I played in the rain one day and bam it's stuck in gears. I'm hoping I can fix it with only taking off side cover, but I feel I'm going to have to split the case.

Stuck in 3rd an fourth.. I think. Runs fine still drives just can't get out of gears. Any common reasons why. Or what would cause it?
