  1. Thanks and I believe you are correct. I also found my intake boots had holes, so that would explain why it wouldnt correct itself. Have it set back up to original of 340 main, 27.5 pilot, vitos red needle on 4th clip. See after some testing
  2. Hey guys, I need some help with low end tuning on my shee. Well, I have a stock bore, ken o'Conner trail port, k&n power pods w/covers (airbox delete), boyesen power reeds (stock case), boost bottle, tors eleminator kit, stock carbs, 21 cc Vito's hemi cool head, Vito's red needles on 2nd clip, 310 mains, and 37.5 pilots. I started out rich with 340 mains, and 30 pilots, center clip. Since then I'm dialed in somewhat at 310 mains, 37.5 pilots and 2nd clip. I believe I need to go up to a 40 pilot or bigger since my air screws are about 1 turn out. Right now it's running good, but a little fat. Bottom end is poor until it hits pipe. It does not run hot at all or foul plugs. Plug chops on top end look good. I'm at about 1000ft elevation, temps outside about 75. And help would be great, thanks guys!!
  3. I also mixed my gas initially 32 to 1 with 93 octane gasoline. Should I be at this ratio? Thanks
  4. Ok, leak down was good. I noticed oil spray from the pipes and the jugs, after a short ride, so jetting must be very rich. Right now with 340 mains, and 32.5 pilots it's running alright, but rich and has a small bog when you hit the gas from idle. I am 1/4 of a turn from bottoming out on the air screws. The carbs are synched and slide pull is also synched. I was planning on dropping my main, and going to a 35 pilot. Any suggestions? Comments?
  5. I will do a leak down on it. Now I'm curious....
  6. I never did a leak down test, as I did not rebuild the lower end. Changed the oil, clutch and water pump. It ran fine before the build.
  7. Hi new to the forum, and was hoping to get some input on trying to dial in my fresh build. I have stock bore and stroke. Cylinders are sport trail ported, ( ken o'connor sport port), boyesen power reeds, 4 degree timing, air pods, total box delete, boost bottle, vitos hemi head 21cc domes, e-3 plugs, 93 pump gas. I started with 340 mains, and 30 pilots. Couldnt dial it in, needed more pilot jet, so installed a 32.5 and air srew is 1/4 turn from bottomed out. I have a 35 pilot ordered, but I feel this is very large and something else may be the problem. I was thinking I'm way rich, was going down to a 320 main, and try a plug chop. Any help or suggestions?? Thanks
