only thing I have done to the bike since Ive had it has been reinstalling the air box back it seems like it likes it a lot better in the lower rpms but still like before when i had the air pods when I give it full throttle the power seems to cut out and it backfires sometimes too so im just wondering what could be causing the issue

Hi guys I'm new to this forum and to be completely honest relatively new to this whole two stroke thing as well I have a 2001 Yamaha Banshee as far as the modifications go to my knowledge its completely stock other than gold series FMF power core 2 pipes the original owner had removed the air box and was running pods before I bought it I reinstalled the air box because I plan to ride in the mud after I installed the OEM air box back with the OEM filter and everything the bike feels a lot more responsive when I rev it up but still when im riding and give it full throttle it feels like the power just completely cuts out it also has a tendency to back fire on me as well when I do this and I have no idea why bad reeds possibly? im not sure but I would like to get it resolved I plan on removing the tors system on top of the carbs and rebuilding the carburetors while im at it soon if anything is not clear in my post feel free to ask me questions to clarify or shoot I might just end up posting a video but any information would be really helpful and appreciated hopefully my post makes sense if not let me know ill try my best to explain whats going on thanks or if there is a forum on this already if someone can shoot me a link or something that would be great too
