  1. Well funny enough I did a bit of research yesterday and supposedly you can have a 'Daytime MOT' and not worry about half the stuff above. A 'Daytime MOT' is basically a standard MOT except if the bike doesn't need to have lights, indicators and mirrors. The garage told me as long as it has a manual parking brake, horn and road legal tyres that would be enough to get it through. an SVA is for agricultural use and requires quite a few modifications to get it through. I believe once you have an SVA you don't need to tax or MOT the quad? Correct me if I am wrong!
  2. Thanks for all the replies guys, I think the laws are slightly different over here than the US or Canada. As for sueing, we don't really do that over here, or at least I don't. I'm not really after a free hand out!
  3. Hi guys, Newbie here so be kind! I have just purchased a 2003 Yamaha Banshee over in the USA and will have it over at the beginning of next year. I am looking to get it registered and road legal with a daytime MOT. I have just got off the phone with a garage that will happily MOT it for me and they have said it will need a set of front/rear number plates, horn and a manual parking brake (for the daytime MOT). Firstly, do the Banshees come with a manual or hydraulic parking brake? Obviously the quad will not have plates at first as it isn't registered until an MOT so the MOT station said they can work off of the chassis number (very similar to importing a car). Also, has anybody else had their Banshee road legalised with a daytime MOT and is there anything else I should be aware of? Any advice is much appreciated! Cheers, Adam
