  1. ok i have a +4 swing arm on a 4mil, ported by redline. chain broke what size? what brand will hold up?
  2. Are 12 inch wide tires better? Has any one tryed them?
  3. i had this same problum. for me i cleaned the hell out of them 3 times (took all screws, jets, choke all out sprayed out every hole with carb cleaner, then blow them out with air. X3) turned out i replaced all the hoses and that fixed it. still dont know why but it worked
  4. has anyone tryed running the kenda bear klaws in the size 22-12-10 ? i was thinking i could force them on my rims and gain some tire width. i run 20-11-10 12 wide could be better, maybe less spin lol what do you all think?
  5. i have not done a compression test yet. or a leak down test, i dont have those tools yet i will be getting them tomorrow. it has new pistons/rings in new bore? what should i do if it don't pass a compression or leak down test? split cases and start over?
  6. the fly wheel side is the warmer side
  7. ok so just put my new 4mil an .080 over together today, it has a cool head, +4 timing, k&n's, stock carbs,T5's. billit clutch so got it together and it fired off in one kick idle's great, throttle response is great, no leaks, no funny sounds, every thing seems great. she purrs like a kitten. BUT i look back and there is more smoke coming out one exhaust then the other, and one pipe is heating up like what seems normal and the other is cooler. got out my temp. gun and the cooler pipe is 25-30 degrees cooler then the other. i tried swapping in new plugs no change. i road it up an down my street and it has way more power then before (stock) but after 4 heat cycles and a short ripp on my street, still one side way colder then the other by 30 degrees. ?????
  8. thanks for the advice guys, yes it may have been a mistake going .080 over, i am man enough to admit that. however it is done and about to be shiped back to me. i will look into selling my T5 pipes OR trading them to get a set of pro-circuit pipes, more mid-range sounds more usfull on trails then top-end from T5's. i'm looking into fox float shocks maybe, any one run them before? i like that they are lighter weight.
  9. hey thanks for the good advice, i really needed it, i well be looking into all this stuff you guys have said, and i will send a pic or 2 when i get it back together an running
  10. also it was cheaper to have them bored over, then to get new cylinders. i would have had to pay for porting to match the 4mil other way and new pistons other way too. i never really heard of any one doing a 4mil with .080 over bore, so why not i thought.
  11. my stock cylinders were already .030 over when i got them before the motor blow and scared them up really bad, cam said they may need to go 50 or so over to get the scaring out. so i said screw it go 80 over and maybe i will see some power. yes i know i only really have one more bore on them but next time im thinking big cub cylinders anyway.
  12. cool thanks guys for the help, i will call cam about the pipes and trans. stuff. i will start looking into A arms and shock kits.
  13. i have already payed for 4mill set up and porting to match the 4mill, so 7mil and 10mil are out out the game. better pipes?? that 2 ttimes that has been said, better pipes like what?? i thought the T5 pipes were good. BTW i am a mt. rider, i dont go to the dunes.
