So I'm waiting for some clamps but I want to go riding tomorrow.
What's worst thing that can happen from running with no exclamps? Obviously smoke is going to come out where the pipes connect but is there even a reason to run exhaust clamps??

That's what I was thinking too i guess il try figure out something to do the job until I get new pipes.It is a grommet that is part of the silencer I think.

The silencer itself..the bolt goes through it and it has rubber..I'm not sure if actually apart of the silencer itself but mine has come off from riding to hard I guessThe silencer or the head pipe?

You adjust the carbs accordingly to your modifactions.
Depending on your mods I'd start with mains an needle position, but you try get your all your jets dialed in in no particular order.

As far as the porting im not sure but there definitely ported.Yes , the throttle position your questioning is rite in the transition zone from needle to main. You wouldn't happen to know anything about the porting would you? What needle you running? I'm assuming no lid on the box . Throw 340's in there and give it a rip . Is this your first shee? I can usually tell by ear n feel of an engine if she's lean but if this is new to you then you might not be able to feel it
Stock needle..was thinking about geting 320 mains up to 350.
I've had it for years IL plug chop when im back at home..
It could be running a lil lean so I'm going to up the mains now cause it's winter it could be why cause I never noticed it before.

No to the plug chop will do one before I take it out next.Have you done a plug chop. With porting I would have started at 340-350 main n worked from there.get your main dialed first, could be experiencing a lean needle condition but without confirming good chop on main I would not play wth anything else
Do you think what im experiencing could be due to too small main jets?

Last week when i went out ridingI noticed when I was full throttle in 6th gear if i let go of the throttle just a bit it feels like I'm pulling a lil more then if i was full throttle? I think I have 300 mains in there an riding at the beach pc piped knn filter lil porting..was thinking if I upped the mains I'd get the full pull at full throttle or is that just how it is with these tings

Did you leak down test the motor after you built it? If not stop trying to start it an leak down test it

I'd pull ur carbs clean them check all your jets proper definitely up your mains..make sure your carbs are synced enough an can see both ping Mark's in the windows..adjust your idle screws an you should be good to go..choke it couple kicks with key off flick it on an your away m8
