  1. I'm thinking the same too, I think I new stator as well, I'm trying to find an oem stator that's not that expensive.
  2. yeah but my stator has different colors then what the video shows, mine has red and white and white and brown, for light 2 yellow and one black. from white to brown I got 98 ohms and from red to white I got 0 ohms and yellow and black I got .4 ohms.
  3. you think my new coil that I bought on ebay is no good? right it gave me .6 ohms between coils where the orange and black wire plug in but when I do the leads I don't get nothing no reads. I still have my old coil I haven't tossed that away yet?
  4. I have a brand new ignition coil and plugs on there that I just installed like 5 days ago.
  5. those readings were just for the stator right off the plug like the video showed. the 3rd reading from the red wire to the white wire I was suppose to get 20 ohms and I didn't get no reads there. so does that mean my stator is bad?
  6. lights- .4 ohms pick up coil- 98 ohms Ignition coil-0 ohms This are the results I got from watching the video and taking the steps to check my stator out. so it looks like I might be needing another stator coil from the readings.
  7. yeah my banshee is a 97 but I have a 2000 frame because my other frame rusted out and cracked. But the bike was turning on fine with no issues first kick and it popped on. this happened just recent so I just want to get it fixed and go ride and try out my new 6 inch swing arm I just installed.
  8. OK the light coil gives me .4 which is good and the pick coil gives me 98. Barely passing, but the ignition coil gives me zero no reading. So I think I got a bad stator coil. Crap!!!
  9. ok ill give it a try. ill keep you guys posted and thanks for all your help.
  10. There's a gab, which is around what you said kick the motor over and nothing so far does that mean my stator might be bad?
  11. OK I took off flywheel cover and I see the pick coil what do I look for there?
  12. OK I will do that when I get home from work guys I'll keep you updated on progress. Ebay coil cost me 60 bucks off brand I'll say. But replacing coil bike would turn on every once in a while then nothing and I didn't get spark before changing the coil either.
  13. OK I'll take it off again and check for positive and negative marking, but which wires go where on what post, I have a orange wire and a black wire going to the coil. And yes I do have a Milwaukee multimeter with beep when checking for ohms and continuity. What am I checking for? Keep in mind my coil is plugs are new
  14. I took off plugs and grounded them to see if I get a spark when kicked over and I don't see nothing. Wires on coil are orange and black does it matter which one goes where or no difference? I recently installed new coil and plugs. And still nothing but I'm not getting a spark. Do I need to check if stator is bad or good and what do I look for when checking stator.
  15. Not recent work done but I did have a dune port on it about a year ago and put some t5 on it that's pretty much it.
