  1. I have a 2002 banshee with FMF silencer LRD exhaust heads, vfroce 4 reeds. Banshee use to be reliable and run great then one day I started stuttering and wouldn't start until I let it sit. Now it will start ride up and run good for the first 5-15 mins then stutters to a stop and won't start unless u let it sit. Any idea what this could be?

  2. Check that carb yet? Can you see through main, pilot , and holes on side of emulsion tube? Check float level.

Depending on how it runs and starts, and budget could run it. Or throw a set of rings in it IF the piston clearance is less than service limit.

Or it may be time for a fresh bore.

I had checked the carb and the main and pilot jet look clear and normal

  3. LRD exhaust, not sure on the intake bc I bought the quad used it is a single non foam filter with an outerwear over it.

The intake fits in the air box, but the air box has no lid

  4. what is your current pilot, needle, clip position?

With exhaust and open air box, you should be over 280 main and 30 pilot.

With reeds, pilot might stay at 30, but main should jump up one or two sizes. Depends on reeds.

Do this set up make sense? :

    Intake ,exhaust, vf4reeds,

    320main jets, 30 pilot

  5. Hey everyone I'm wondering what main jets I should be running on my banshee. The banshee has an intake and exhaust.i bought the quad with 290 main jets and it started to sputter around 3/4 to WOT. I'm now running 260 maons jets and the quad is running great but I've been told that this is too lean and risk seizing. So my questions are what do u think my jetting should be now. And also what my jetting should be after a timing advance +4 and new vf4 reeds?

  6. Wait! 260 mains with exhaust and intake? That's a time bomb waiting to go off.

I don't have the timing advanced yet. What main and pilot jets do u recommend for exhaust intake and reeds, with an advanced timing of +4
