  1. have you pressure tested the motor after assembly. If it's not tight it won't pull fuel properly in order to feed it during start up. Give it a quick squirt of starter fluid while holding slides open with throttle, close slides and kick . If it fires you have a fuel delivery issue weather it's carbs or air leak causing weak pulse

Never took the engine apart it was running fine before, I did frame work and cleaning but now the spark is weak I did change stator and it has a adjustable plate now could the timing be off? Or could I have a grounding issue?

  5. So I've started my first banshee build I've stripped it all of the way down to the frame and had it powder coated. Since this is my first build I was gonna ask for some advice that you wished you would had done differentlyebfff1cf8ea5386f81e11718b5684030.jpg

  6. The tri z is nostalgic for sure but unless you know what you are doing leave the engine as oem as possible. I am building an 85 motor for a customer right now. The tri z doesn't do well with static comp over 175. The cooling system on that bike makes a banshee look like state of the art. Also make sure that the kickstarter and gear set is in good working order. They are notorious for exploding and busting the kick side case which is rare as hens teeth. If you are looking for reliability and something to put high hp to, look for a 3rd gen 250r. Also, parts availability, especially aftermarket is pretty much nill for the z.

I want a 250r but cannot  find them in bama
