  1. Maybe, but I checked for spark by removing both plugs, connecting the plug wire then setting them on top of the head and I'm getting plenty of spark, but I'm gonna take it to work today and strip the paint, thanks for the tip I hadn't thought of that
  2. That's all I changed. Yeah I don't understand it either
  3. I never unplugged the stator. The key looks like a half moon
  4. so i bought a cheap $30 +-10 degree adjustable timing plate from ebay, installed it at set it to +4 where the 2 cases meet, set my pickup coil to 18 thousands, then i went to fire it up and nothing. my banshee started up easily with one kick before this. pulled the plugs and checked for spark and it was good. then set the timing to 0 and still no start. installed my old non adjustable timing plate and bam fired up with ease. can anyone shed some light?
  5. So I got in contact jogon30 last week and he was giving me pointers over the phone and I got it running a lot better but still not quite right so then I took it to him and he said I need to drop 1 or 2 main jet sizes so I dropped down from a 145 to a 142 and then a 140 but didn't feel a difference but the spark plugs are a nice light brown now in stead of black. But still when I snap the throttle in neutral it bogs for a sec and when I'm ridding I still have very little mid range power but top end runs real good. Right now main jets are 140 and pilots are 50

  8. What up fellas, I'm trying to get my 89 banshee dialed and i think im having issues with my pilot circuit but I'm having trouble doing it myself so i was wondering if anyone knows somebody in the albuquerque nm area that I can take my shee to!
  9. I have a hjr cool head, will I damage the head gasket if I do one at a time?
  10. What's up guys, I just ordered some nology spark plug wires and coil, i was wondering where is the best place to hook up the ground wires?
  11. I emailed nology about a month ago and still no response. I'll give them a call tomorrow
  12. I'm in the market for a new coil and I wanted to go with nology coil and hot wires but I can't seem to find anyone online who sells them, did they stop making them for banshees? Or where can I buy them?
  13. I'm looking to buy a repair manual any advice on which one to buy? In the mean time can anyone tell me what wires to ohm and the specs it should be to test the stator? Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  14. What's up guys, need some advice. I have a 89 banshee, mods as far as I know are toomey t5s, pwk35s, ported stock cylinders bored 30 over, cool head, chariot intake and reeds, I may be missing something but anyways a few weeks ago it was running like a champ then last week I took it out and it started misfiring bad once it hits the powerband but it would run just fine in the lower to mid rpm range. Now I pulled out my reeds to inspect and they were not fully seated but not bad, I flipped them anyways and now there sealing better. Then I went to take it out but now it won't start, pulled the plugs(replaced last week) and held to the head and kicked over to find little to no spark. Stock coil, ngk wires, electrex cdi, and not sure on the stator. Any help would be appreciated Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
