So...background story here folks. Picked up a 02 'Shee off a buddy in pieces. He tore it apart because no compression. I picked it up in pieces for $700. new top end kit, honed cylinder walls, fired right up like a champ....BUT CARBS LEAKING OUT OF OVERFLOW...I know this is super common...HOWEVER...I have cleaned the needles and they seal outside of quad sometimes and sometimes they don't. when hooked to quad they do not leak until you shake the atv back and forth then,,,dribble dribble out of both overflows. Thought it could be the fuel being dirty from the tank sitting around, put inline fuel filter, still dribble when shaking the ATV. after it dribbles, voila no more until you move the quad around. I raised the float levels to no avail. My next step is to purchase the OEM float needle assembly off motosport. My question is, am I on the right path number 1? Number 2, where is this so called o-ring for the seat and where online could I purchase it, and HOW THE HECK DO I GET THE BRASS SEAT THAT THE NEEDLE SITS IN OUT OF THE CARB? I took the screw and subsequent hook that holds the seat, but the seat is dogon stuck in there. Does it thread out? I am so overly frustrated after about 6 assemblies and disassemblies. ANY ideas here folks??? Banging head against the wall here with this stupid little issue that is preventing me from ripping my new Banshee that I worked so hard on to rebuild and took a huge gamble on in purchasing in pieces. Previous owner said he did not have this issue. Carbs did sit upside down while quad was apart with fuel in them...Trying to provide as much info as possible here guys,
