  1. When was last time carbs were cleaned AND the floats set ?

Were these plugs run like in doing a plug chop? Or were you just riding around?? Big difference !!

    Single air filter ??

Why would you want to use less oil ??

Carbs were cleaned over the weekend and I'll have to look up how to set the floats I have never done it. I mean I got to sixth pinned but I didn't shut it off right away I rode it home like a qrt. Mile after. And I do want to use more oil so I dot fry my pistons. Sorry newbie post lol

I'm running full fmf gold series sst.

    At 659 elevation

    300 main jet

    25 pilot jet

    32:1 mix

    Stock mikunki carbs

    Stock pistons.

Do you think if I run 42:1 mixture it will be better or even adjust the air/mix screw? I don't know how to tell what position the needle is at so that could be it to. But when I was ripping it seems to be getting gas well, no bogging. I was also going to 27.5 but it starts fine and idles fine so idk if it would matter please help.

  3. Best I can do is suggest that you do as search about RM Stator, Ricky Stator, add nausium.

You will see all the issues that they have in making shit run really weird.

Buy all the jets you want, jetting is NOT the problem, right now.

Ok I'll read up on them

  4. He 240 sounds lean. As does the 25.

It's odd that the plugs are soaked tho.

Check your compression. Get back with that.

Then we'll get into the electric.

I had my buddy check my compression for me he said it's 120-125 per cylinder he used a snap on one and the harbour freight one broke and only read 60 on everything lol

  5. Fixing this is where to start. Classic symptoms of shitfuck Stator. Lean as hell but still could plugs.

So what brand is it? Not that it fucking matters.

The brand of the plugs ? Ngk b8es

Stator- RM Ricky stator from the dealership. I know the stator is junk

  6. Sorry for putting this in the jetting section but I didn't know which one was the problem...

When starting banshee and reved a little it will back fire.(usually takes one kick) When warm it will idle fine. But when It ride it will bog and don't hit band at all. Also it fails plugs left n right. After literally a 2 min ride I shut it off checked the plugs and cleaned them again... Tried to start it had to kick a lot probably 20-30 times. I have full fmf pipes after market stator set at +2. Stock cylinders I check the reeds they look ok prob don't need to be replaced. I have a 240 main and 25 pilot I'm running 30:1 93 and there was a little vp left in it. Could it be that I have to jet up or down? Am I running to lean? Or do you think it's a electrical problem. Anything will help please and thank you. Also if it will be for the best I'll fix the jetting and electrical problem

  7. Plugs look like old plugs, chomp marks and rust, look into getting 2 new plugs, just to eliminate that.

I got it 2 days ago and that was the problem the plugs were gapped to far apart that's why it was running like shit plus the carbs were outta wack runs and starts now but I think my jetting is bad

  8. Yeah.

But still get the coolant pressure tester. It's an easier tester to use

    This is the right plug

    Yeah.

  9. So how much white smoke?

Get us pics of the plugs

Ok I'll get some pics and I'll try to get a video of the smoke and how it sounds. Might be a dumb question but say I called auto zone and asked for a 2 stroke leak down test and they said they had one but not for 2 strokes. Does it matter or does it matter

  10. Did uou tq cylinders prior to head?

    Are they level?

Are we even sure it's a coolant leak?

I torqued them starting at 10 15 and then 20 and I did like 21-22 bc I had a extension on the ratchet. Everything looks pretty even as far as how far the studs stick out the top the head. And No were not 100% sure about the coolant leak I re used the bottom gaskets(which are like cardboard it felt like?) it doesn't look like it's leaking and I had it started for a couple seconds stall out Then kicked it again boom backfire

  11. Best "Tool" for DIY is a Clymers Repair Manual. Tells how to leak down test, check head for warp. Not a fan of reusing gaskets, the head is a one use only gasket.

I'll have to look into that and I thought it wouldn't be bad bc I only rode it so long and then just took it off to get hoaned
