  1. Why that order? I'm doing the opposite. Once I see how fast it is then I will add the appropriate length and width to the arms. Seems fine
  2. Thanks guys. So from the sounds of it I should go with some version of what yakkey racing wanted to do. Since HJR and Yakkey are the only ones local to me I'll prob go to one of them. "I will port and bore your cylinders, wiesco pistons, pro design cool head, v force reeds, 4mm stroker crankshaft, ignition timing plate, modify stock carbs, torr kit removal, pro design intake plate and k /n air filter in stock box, custom exhaust, Yamaha Performance clutch, all new seals and gaskets."
  3. You guys have all seemed to of been there done that with your bike mods. I on the other hand have never touched mine. However have been riding for 25 years. I'm sure you guys know the mistakes to avoid. Knowing what you know now, If you could start from scratch and mod your bike all over again how would you do it? Basically I'm looking for someone to just take my hand and say here soney, do all this to your bike and it will be awesome. I'm a good rider so I want to be scared. But above poster makes a good point. I don't want to fill it with gas all day long. And I want a solid engine I don't have to tweak constantly. For instance, i had a bunch of kids over the last 10 years. I haven't fired my banshe up for at least 5 years. I changed the plugs, oil, and gas, and the thing fired up 2nd kick. I love that about my banshee so I def don't want to fuck with that. So I want it as fast as I can get before I start messing with a good thing.
  4. Isn't that what the local guy said he would do in my original post? I'm not being sarcastic - I really don't know.
  5. Thanks! I like the light switch power of the banshee. It's like a turbo. it's fun to ride. I actually don't think I want a 4 stroke type power. In fact I know I don't. I had a 660 raptor and was bored shitless. So from reading I think I'm leaning towards the cheetah cub
  6. I'm not on eBay. Isn't this the whole point of a forum? to ask questions? I was hoping you guys could just point me in the right directions since you have done it all already?
  7. I am. I'm in San Diego. Exactly. I'm no mechanic. I can change he plugs and the oil shit like that. I'm not comfortable removing the engine. I want to focus on the engin at this point. After I take it out to ride then I'll see what frame mods I should do next.
  8. I see many threads in here where you guys talk very highly of HJR. Has that changed of late? I think I'm leaning toward the 521 cheetah 10mm. Knowing that I'll get used to the speed. I think a 421 might seem bla after a bit. 521 I might never get bored.
  9. I'm in the San Diego area. So as of now I'm leaning towards Herr Jugs Racing or Yakkey Racing. I would prefer to simply drive the bike over to them vs shipping. Who do you guys suggest in my area? Anyone else I should look at? Like if I wanted to go with a cheetah block that's in my price range right? If it costs more then so be it.
  10. Hello. First post! My name is Eric. Thank you for your time. I don't want to tweak this and that over the years. I want to give it to a local guy, pay him X amount of money (preferably no more than $2500 - $3500) and have him turn it into a speed monster. Done right the first time. I mostly ride out in the desert and dunes. I ride hard and fast. And always try and race everyone. I'm a good rider and weigh 210. I would also like to take it out to the track every now and then and jump it and race. Im not a wrench junky so I would like a dependable engine that I can count on. I spoke with a seemingly very kniwledgable local (San Diego) guy. He suggested to do the following and it would get me around 70HP. "I will port and bore your cylinders, wiesco pistons, pro design cool head, v force reeds, 4mm stroker crankshaft, ignition timing plate, modify stock carbs, torr kit removal, pro design intake plate and k /n air filter in stock box, custom exhaust, Yamaha Performance clutch, all new seals and gaskets, Total Price parts, labor tax, machine work $3000. take $500 off if you don't want the 4mm stroker crank let me know" So should I do that? Or should I do a 421 cheetah cub? Or Super Cub? Or serval? Or 521 cheetah super cub? I know very little about mods. I want to do it correct the first time. I want a very fast bike but rideable as well. I'm not just going to drag race all day. But when I do I would like to win. I don't want to spend this amount of cash and wish I went bigger. That's what I did with my wife's tits and regret it lol. I assume I can't race the track well with a long swing arm. So basically I want it just fast enough to not push me over the need for a large extended swing arm. Thank you you for any suggestions.
