  1. Thank you for that. I appreciate the help.
  2. I'm sorry, the factory airbox was trimmed down and it goes to a single cone filter.
  3. That's it. The wiseco pistons are standard bore and the crank is a factory replacement but it is welded.
  4. I can't argue with that. Moving forward, what do you recommend? I know jetting is to get my bike running like it should, but like I said in my initial post... I'm new to this. Someone said the issue with my bike not firing right away could be tolerances, carb issues, a bad reed; I just want the thing to fire up on the first or second kick and run like it does when it actually does turnover.
  5. I believe that price was me taking the bike to him and having the work done also.
  6. My engine builder said he took the carbs apart and cleaned em, but even after the cleaning it's hard as shit to start when cold. Compressions fine, especially since I just had the whole thing rebuilt. The crank and pistons might have 20 min on them from riding up and down the street. The shop I spoke to told me they charge $325 to completely rebuild and jet the carbs for my setup. Does that seem like a fair price? I figured it was kinda steep since I can get new pwk's for $360 ish.
  7. So I'm new to this forum and wanted to get some opinions on carb choices. I currently have an 01 banshee w/ a hotrod oe replacement crank, wiseco pistons, milled head and T5 pipes. The builder told me my carbs were old and should be replaced with PWK 35mm's. However, I contacted a reputable shop to get a 2nd opinion because 35's seemed big for what I have and they told me to just rebuild and jet the carbs I have now. Anyone with a similar setup running bigger carbs and have good results?
