Just got the bottom end all together.
The pancake bearing seems a little weird, that the nut only threads on a couple threads when the arrows are aligned on the arm and the cases.
Everything else went together great, do you guys think that all new seals would make it a little tighter to roll over by hand.
Thanks for the helpful info just waiting on the machine shop now.
-
Ya how much are they like 120 or something? And where do you by them.
-
Do you think its wise to put money into a crank im gonna get ride of in a few months?
Deff gonna do the full c clip pto mod also have a pancake bearing and shifter star coming.
I looked over the tranny and clutch everything looks great im hopeing new seals will keep it clean and keep the air leaks away I have winderosa seal kit on its way.
Should I remove the pins on the bearings and Loctite them or leave them in and Loctite it and what color Loctite?
Also what kinda case saver is the best
Im thinking it should be running next week depending on the machine shop

Where do you guys ride in Ontario just about to move back to St. Thomas. Has the gov. shut all the riding spots down thinking ill have to ride on the beach at turkey point to get my fix lol.
Anyone located close to London im gonna need a parts supply I tend to break shit quite often
-
Today I split the cases and found nothing in the bottom end. Im gonna put crank seals and shifter and sprocket seals in it while its apart.
What is your recommended case sealant?
And what about these pins on the crank bearings every one is good except the pto one it looks like a numb is this normal
Also should I get it trued and welded or just run it till next spring trying to save for a real top end.
Does the stock Yamaha chain have no master link if so it has the original chain on it I cut it off with the grinder.
-
Where do you guys ride at the gov is closing everything down im afraid ill have to go too asphalt drags which I don't want to do to boring and flat.
Is there any dunes in Ontario or just out west? Im thinking about just ripping turkey point out for a quick min just to get my fix
I deff know what its all abooot gov fucking anyone and everyone unless ur a single mom or on welfare that's good old Canada for ya
-
If I split the case I don't know if I want to get the stock crank welded up or just buy a 4mm welded already what would you do.
I have a noss head coming in the mail how much would custom domes for a 4mm stock cylinder cost.
Im pretty sure he put that piston in there the stock head had no pitting and the crank looks great. The only thing it had was a drag mark like a stuck ring in the cylinder
Don't you think there would be more evidence of damage especially in the bore
-
I had noss ship me a set of 19cc domes instead just to be safer. I just need the crank to hold up one winter wont be riding it much but goin 4mm cub or serval thinking more cub in the spring.
I'm thinking ill start at +4 and see what +6 does afterwards. just got the Mattoon timing plate deff a nice piece looks to nice for my bansh.
Also I have to go .060 over the idiot who owned the bike either put the piston in there or got lucky that it didn't damage the head or the case.
Just look in my gallery and check the piston out pretty serious to only leave one drag mark in the cylinder sad thing is there is still cross hatching on most of the bore.
I bought the vitos ss forged just cause im gonna leave the stock cyl unported
thanks for all the usefull information

Just in the process of a top end rebuild. The noss head is on its way with 18cc domes. And also have a matoon timing pate coming, I live at about 750 feet and want to know how much timing to run. I am running 110 blue thunder and have the following mods
t5 pipes
2in1 air filter
320 mains
30 pilots
stock porting
Having the cylinders bored to .60 over
And what pistons do you recommend
vitos super stock forged or wiesco
Anyone from mi know a good machine shop in grand rapids
Any help is greatly appreciated

There is no Ontario natives on the hq

I didn't know I was in school lol. I bought a banshee off craigslist I got a deal on it. only to find out the right piston was missing the intake side skirt so now im in the process of rebuilding it.
Already ordered
noss head with 18cc domes
matoon timing plate
I have to order pistons still either vitos ss or wiesco which ones are best for high compression. Im getting it bored to .60 over
The jugs are stock port and im at 750ft elevation who much compression do you think ill have and how much timing can I run. I will run 110 octane
Another question is if the head and crank looked good and only a little scratch from the ring. How did the whole intake side skirt not make any damage?
As for jets I have 320 mains and either 27.5 or 30 pilots should this be safe to fire it up.
Or should I have bigger mains
Thanks hopefully this punctuation helps a little

after finding that the banshee I got for a deal had a broken skirt on the right cylinder im in the process of rebuilding it now I already ordered a noss head 18cc domes and a Mattoon adj timing plate I was wondering how much safe timing I can put into this thing I was thinking +6 ill be running 110 at 750ft elevation and a guess at what my compression should be around and what pistons should I get its stock port and 1mm over so I was thinking vitos ss pistons or is that too much compression for those pistons and use wiesco I also have 30 pilots and 27.5 and have 320 mains or 300 you think that will be close to get me running safely any help would be appreciated and some how the hole intake side skirt came off and there was no damage to the head or bore I think the guy put it in there to sell it
Best of craigslist..................
