  1. To keep things simple I’m thinking streamline carbon, not sure all the adjustability is needed for the price, maybe PEP,maybe?. On the front just received alba +2 stem-replacement,pro-taper909 7/8 bars,ff cut clean off(Nfg).Butotherwise stock suspension, hell, even the front tires are stock. Riding fast logging roads with water bars everywhere😜,knarly ROWs including rutted, washed out, boulder filled 3-4 gear climbs I have no damn business riding! Keeping in mind I’m possibly looking to pick up some decent a-arms and shocks if presented for reasonable. Problem is I’m 6’5” 230lbs,long reach, older than younger, and more aggressive than I should be. Does this help tfaith? And thanks much
  2. Thanks Tricked, will do that, could save a 100+ dollar mistake.
  3. Hello those wiser than I, starting to find time to get my 05’ back in the dirt after tweaking my stem. Bought a new Alba stem, pivot works bearings, and a new Chariot throttle. Short of keeping up w/ joneses I hope I’ve done ok. Question: does anyone have any experience w/ CPI pipes and steering stabilizers? Wondering if there’s enough room, before I buy and go thru the return headaches. I’ve tried to read any posts, but notsure. Thanks for any grief I may be spared
  4. Dude definately has some dough tied up in it,and i get the show bike thing. But it to me anyways,is like an Escalade p/u.great for show but wouldn't want to use it to haul 2by4s or a yard of top soil.i'll take my x-terra and my shee any time, not afraid to use & play w/them. But then again i'm poor any ways.but to me it's still fugly.
  5. I'm sure they must also have the receipts as well for tires to prove they did'nt steal em' off some rich fuckers Escalade. Bieng a man of modest means, some people got more dollars than cents!! AND just out of spite someone should get it dirty!!!
  6. Ok, trying not to ask too many dumb questions. But as I've said befor I'm running CPI drag pipes (were on bike when I bought it), I believe their for top end pover,no? Question is would I be better served by a different pipes? I ride fire brakes and logging roads, trails and hill climbes that happen to be in my way. So not always on the pipe. Is there a better pipe for more lower to mid power?
  7. Oh and I just figured have150,220 and240 so guessed I had 200 as per manuel installed.
  8. Actually not sure what range of jets came w/it or even exactly what sizes are available, but right now trying to become more informed before I f... Something up. In a week or two will be doing a tors delete, figure I'd look into jetting at same time.but as for the filter,k&n w/outerwear and no air box at all. I plan to replace it soon I think.
  9. 100ll&yamalube @ 40:1 . Thinkin' 100llw/wrong jetting for altitude? W/continued use as is,am I in danger of damage?15 goin'' on 20 gallons now, have I dodged a bullet or is it tolerable till I try (I guess?) next larger jet and so on?
  10. For the altitude? But would'nt a noticeable amount of oil in the pipes and silencers indicate a bit rich cond.? But the spares I have only go to 240,should'nt that be sufficient? Just trying to get my mind wrapped around this. If jetted richer would hotter plug help w/incomplete comb.? One other thing does occur to me, could it be riding too much out of the band? There fire roads, skid roads, etc.,so I'm 90% in it. Just a random thought, Thanks for the help.
  11. Ok, was looking at the spares inc. w/ my banshee and looking at the Clymers ,I have the 150,220,240 leaves the 200 I assume would be in the carbs.Clymers specs. say 200,at 4500' average up to 7000'(on the FS map) seem there should be a change,no? Seems to run fine @4500' except have oil in exhaust. Are the mains set @ sea lvl?should I be looking @ something diff.? Only mods are force3s and CPI pipes, mostly dune ridden by prev. owner. I mostly bomb logging and fire roads.i just don't have enough exp. w/these things,so I humbly ask.Any thoughts?
  12. Thanks, tors coming off, bearings(front&back),maint. things first.however invaluable this site and the advice, diggin the Clymers just came in ,time to get greasy.
  13. What's the advantage of removing the tors. Not that I've gotten that far yet,but one more thing to think about, waiting on nerfs, bumper and oem swing arm chain buffer, which I wonder if I should have just gone afterm. on the buffer.
  14. Ya, I can see that, but I'd forever be making comparisons and that would'nt likely be a good thing. And I'm already catching hell for dodging trees by headlight as opposed to "snuggling" in front of the tv. And money apparently is better spent on a nice dinner out than new tires.Gues I've got MY priorities ass backwards, but I'll still be diggin' the new rubber a mo. from now.
  15. HA,one of my new heros (not that I'm anyone),tried that ménage thing once, wife damn near dotted my i for me!! HEEY, this line of discussion almost works in the jetting and exhaust forum. Huh, maybe it's just me.
  16. And don't know ya , but kudos to you ticktock for posting that site.
  17. Ya Man, I found that awhile back. It's good to have that resource, but I'll never own another computer (I doubt), so my I5 is all I need. And I've a thing for books , and I'm an arborist of 25+ yrs.,ropes and trees I get, computers are a pain in my ass, and last , the porn site viruses fuck up my comp. every time, so I gave em' up (porn sites & computers). But I've been using that site as much as I can on my little screen.
  18. Thank you dave5.0. Don't know about the fling thing, more of a kind of twisted polygamy I think. After 15 yrs. married to one shee I still haven't found out what makes her tick, but my other one should be easier to figure when I receive the manuel. But I'll fix the seals in the mean time and get a handle on the jetting etc.. And your spot on w/the regurgitating pipes. P.s. please let me know of any manuels on the other.More questions undoubtedly to come.
  19. One other q. ,I'm waiting on the Clymer manuel , but I've seen another(who's name I'd have to look up again) is it worth spending more or is Clymers the end all ? I can use all the help I can get,but I can use the money too. Any opinions besides calling me mean things?
  20. Apparently he only rode dunes, still had orig. dunlops in new cond (05'). According to the only bike shop w/in that 2hr ride "if enough people ride there you can find a VP station there too" So if I ask dumb questions, well, hopefully it's understandable.. Fuck that, I'll stick to logging' roads and 100ll and learn as I go.better to ask dumb questions, kick a dead horse than kill a live banshee.
  21. Fuel choice pretty much matter of necessity,as any other high oct. fuel is a 2 hr one way drive.will check conn. again, but assuming it's something else, where else would be a good start? Bike shop obviously. Ride @ 4500' ,stock carbs I believe,P.D. Cool heads (dk about cc's), no porting known,CPI drags. That's the way I bought it. Mostly dune ridden.plug br9eg is this correct ? Forgive the ignorance, 1st 2stroke,lept before I looked .
  22. Sorry to kick a dead horse, but started running 100ll @ 40/1 the girl runs well, but have noticed that some oil runs from the connector btwn the pipe and silencer. Not sure if jetting or fuel mix or what. Any ideas? Thanks. P.s. connection seems tight.
