  1. I thought about that but wasnt for sure. It seems like I can hear the tranny making more noise than usual at an idol. Then again I havent heard another banshee run for 10 years. It just sounds like I can hear the gears spinning against each other more than I should.
  2. I put the motor together from scratch. Wanted to get any foreign materials out. I took my clutch cover off because the adjustment screw came loose and there was a bunch of kinda gritty black stuff.
  3. Like it is turning black. Like used oil. The thing is I havent run it but maybe 20 minutes on and off. I didnt know if that was enough to make it start turning a brownish color. I have been battling my jetting.
  4. I put together my motor and changed the oil 3 different times after just starting it up in the shop a little. Every time the oil has come out dingy looking. Is this normal?
  5. Hello. I have a banshee thats bored 40 over with mild porting FmF exhaust k&n pod filters tors eliminator and boost bottle. I had it tore down for 10 years do to the infamous chain break. I switched over cases and put new seals and gaskets in it. I added the tors kit and pod filters during rebuild. My main jets are 290 pilots are 25 and the needle is 3 from the bottom and 4 from the top. I'm at 700 ft elevation. It has quite a bit of white smoke coming out and the plugs are pretty clean. I turned the air fuel screw all the way in and it helped some. They were 4 out. Its Not smoking near as bad and just from running a few seconds the plugs have a little color but I was afraid it may still be lean and didn't want to chance it. I'm wondering what jets and needle position I should try. How do I know if it's too lean to let it run for a while.
