  2. Hi there, need some help. I just purchased a 2002 banshee. I noticed one of the reeds is broken. It has vforce reeds and cages. My question is, how do i know which type of vforce reeds i have. It doesnt say anything like "vforce 3 reeds" or something like that. It just has a purple label that says vforce reeds valve. I noticed these cages have 8 reeds instead of the stock 4. I only need 1 but how do i know im getting the same ones. If i get different ones and only replace the broken one, would it affect it in a bad way? Thanks in advance!!!
  3. Thanks for the help. I'll do that and let u guys now the results.
  4. Thanks oldskool & sheerider11 for the response. I have a uni air filter with no lid. I also thought about putting 30 pilot jets. Should I mess around with needle as well or not. Maybe lower the clip one down to richen up a little
  5. I forgot to mention tors have been removed. Previous owner put the eliminator kit but no idle screws were installed. I'm assuming it doesn't need them since my friends banshee doesn't have the idle screws and it runs with no problems.
  6. I need help with my banshee. Problem is it won't stay running on its own. Also at about 1/4 throttle it doesn't respond good. I recently did the top end and it's starts right away and runs excellent at 1/2 & full throttle. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks 97 banshee .20 wiseco pistons Trinity mx ported cylinder jugs Hot Rod crank (stock size) +4 advanced timing V force 4 reeds 310 main jets Needle clip middle position 25 pilot jets Carbs rebuilt Fmf sst pipes Unknown silencers just all chrome but are fmf Cool head with 20cc domes Elevation 3780 ft Any questions please let me know
  7. Thank for the info ZILLAFREAK. They are complete cylinders. What are your thoughts on the ported vs the 404 Vitos
  8. Thanks to everyone for the help. As for the domes, do u think 19cc domes will be OK without having to run race gas. I'm around 3800 above (sorry wrong elevation in earlier post). According to the compression chart, 19cc @3000 ft will give about 158 psi and @ 4000 ft 152 psi. That means I should be somewhere in between this range and be safe with pump gas correct?
  9. The guy before me had the carbs set up with 240 main jets. I'm at 5800ft elevation. Fmf fattys. I think he also said +2 advance timing
  10. Thanks for the help. I'll check as soon as I get home. Which do u think are better to run. Big bore or ported ones? Just ride around with friends and drag every once in a while
  11. I don't know what size domes. Does it say somewhere in the head or in the actual domes?
  12. Hi. I'm new to this site. I need some help. Just bought 97 banshee. It came with a Vitos 404cc kit, pro design cool head (unknown domes) hot rod stock size crank. It needs top end redone, but the guy gave me a set of stock cylinder jugs .20 over with Trinity MX pro port job. Since these jugs are ready to put pistons in them, don't need bore, I'm thinking of installing these instead of boring out the big bore jugs. My question is, will the cool head fit the stock ported jugs or not? It was installed with the big bore like i mebtioned. Thanks in advance. Also what do u all recommend. Keep the big bore or put on the ported stock ones?
