  1. Take a Q-tip put one end in your drill and put some fine metal grinding compound on the tip (I used valve lapping compound laying around). Carefully insert into your needle valve seat and polish. Should do the trick. Good Luck
  2. After installing a mikuni 300 MJ I did a plug chop and it showed an even lighter color. Previous owner had a 280RD (RD Precision) MJ in it. I am going to get 320 Mikuni jets and try those. I am wondering if the needles are also RD if so I do have mikuni needles from the previous owner does anyone know the number on the side so I can be sure I've got the right ones?
  3. Here's what I did: Warm engine>new plugs>WOT thru 5th or 6th and hit the killswitch>pulled plugs I did not hold WOT as I hit the killswitch and pulled in clutch and I think I need to hold it pinned in 5th/6th gear for a total of 5 seconds correct? I am going to repeat this test again and see what happens and in the mean time I just put 300 mains in to see how that looks. The plug chop looked a little light to me. The bike is new to me...
  4. Stock engine, K&N filter, airbox with no lid, bills pipes-bike runs flawlessly 280 mains, 27.5 pilot, 1500ft elevation, 80*F How does this look?
