I'm new here, but the last thing I'm goning to do is piss off the guys on here who truely do know it all. I've helped my dad for years with his 98 so I know my way around it fairly well. These guys know banshees like the back of their hand. No matter what they tell you, its best to just listen.
If you want to go faster, your going to need more power and torque. If your jugs aren't ported by a good builder, you might want to just get new cylinders. And have them done correctly for your riding style.
Your milled head helps out with some compression, but there's a few company's that offer custom cut domes specifically for your bike, your needs, your riding style.
Open up the air some. Get some pods, or a pro flow filter. The more air you can flow, the better. Stock carbs work fine for mild bikes like you want. But I'm a big fan of 28PWKs. They are easy to adjust and they fit right in your stock intake boots.
A adjustable timing plate, better clutch, cpi exhaust, better reeds, I run vforce 2s, modify your shift star for better shifting, tune it spot on and it'll be all you need until you go to a cub or serval.
