  1. Skeeter if I was the moderator of this forum I would not allow you to post anywhere but in the clown section as you truly know nothing about performance and thats ok theres more that don't than do, You guys could have a good thing here, good discussions about stuff that means something with disagreements that get to the answer sometime...I understand Kim and Matt and the Fred Sanord's of the Banshee world are busy maybe to busy running businesses but they don't come on here for a reason, the reason is idiots like Skeeter! you guys don't know me from Adam and I don't know Skeeter maybe he's smart just always has to be the class clown. The bottom line the Builders of your beloved Banshee's instead of spending 15 minutes a night answering posts are like ahhh no to many tools, now not all of you!!! there are some smart ones on here no doubt but are way out weighed by the novice who really is looking for good info but asks a question and is told he's an idiot for asking and its actually the idiot that says that! You guys have fun wasting countless hours listening to some clown, I'm going to do something constructive today so won't have time to respond to Skeeters totally irrelevant posts, Maybe during my week stay the real knowledge guys were not posting I don't know but seen enough to know its 8:2 in the dumb zone. Moderator you could have one on the best shows around you certainly have the members but like they say you always got to have a few idiots to ruin everything...out
  2. for sure it could provided your compression was under control, thats what will happen until you get to much then it will knock it down in a hurry
  3. M671054 thats a damn good set up I like the 10mm wide band on that big of bore, your right you could tighten it up a bit running a narrower band like you are, I run my 68 at 9.5mm wide
  4. how did you ad 27 PSI? what did you do to get that?
  5. I was on planet sand and theres a question on there guy has a 521cc's on race gas and is having problems, ran good with 30cc domes he switched to 22's and 116 octane fuel and no ,matter how he's jetted it it wont run past low to mid range it just wont rev! I wonder why??? 22 cc domes but 116 octane!!! he has to have 260 PSI compression and now it won't rev..
  6. looking for anyone that can tell us their compression, squish clearance and band width and some data to back up any info. we don't need mine has 230 and its fast as shit!!! because no you don't and no its not, lets try and make sense out of this, so if you don't know or understand what it is just google it you obviously have a computer, you may learn something, if you dont know your port timing on the exhaust you can't figure it out
  7. bansheerider you are gonna be the test guy and don't mess this up cause when you give the answer don't BS!!!
  8. Why is it not relevant? do you actually understand it? instead of going around the actual question give us a good answer, you cant your brain is like more compression and race gas, you guys just don't understand how twin motors work...
  9. tell Kim what your doing so he adjusts your compression it will be faster if you take it away
  10. because it so important to fast people! if I or Skeeter explained the correct way to actually measure compression most people would not have the means or want to spend the time to measure, but lets go through it in simple terms shall we kids, does eveyone out there know what Pi is? no skeeter not the one you eat! notice there is no e on the end! thats used to help us find a measurement, we'll take a 68mm bore that has the exhaust sitting 27mm down from the top of the cylinder. I like to do measurements in inches because I like Skeeter are american, so we have a 68mm or 2.677 bore and a piston travel of 27mm or 1.063 we'll say for this project we'll run a 22cc dome, a std. Yamaha process is to run the piston .010 down from the top of deck but we'll ignore that for this exercise. so 3.1417 (Pi) x2.677 Bx1.063 S = 8.940 converted to cc's because our dome is measured that way is to multiply it by 16.387 to give us a SV of 146.50 cc's being we aren't running a head gasket makes it all the easier and saying were using 22cc domes we are believing that is with the piston not .010 down in the hole and a 9* dome angle, so we take our SV of 146.50 divided by our dome volume 22cc and we get 6.62:1 now remember a few measurements were left out or misplaced strictly for this exercise! but we could just get on the bike and wait until the fat lady is watching and just kick it, next week we'll go over that dreaded squish clearance and why to little or to much is a bad thing...night kids
  11. the poster said bore size doesnt make power in a 2 stroke, I was just clarifying that thats not neccessarily true is all
  12. you will have o-rings left over, use none of the lil ones around the studs, the domes you have with your Vitos head probably has an o-ring around the top of the dome that was designed to hold the dome in at assy. the o-ring in the top cover is for the water and I don't think a cool head kit has the dome o-ring, the Viton are the same as are the outer and top
