  1. If your running pro circuits and pods, you are way lean. What's your elevation? If below 1500 ft, try 300 mains and a 27.5 pilot and work your way down on the main

Its the stock filter just with no box. Elevation is around 750 to 800. Ok that makes since then because it had the hex 170 keihin mains in already and I was told that would be around 300 mikuni mains, but I switched them out because I didn't want to run keihin mains in mikuni carbs, but they fit and worked fine so maybe I'll put them back in since I don't have any 300 mikuni mains sitting around. I'll try that and post if it changed or not.

  2. Sorry I posted so many threads but what better way to find the problem then a group effort lol. But seriously I need help because I read the thread on jetting and got it but need some extra help. I have 200 mains and 25 pilot all stock except pro circuit exhaust and the air filter has no box. Any ways It is idling fine and running fine but it has a ping and is overheating about 45 seconds after starting it up. I read that could be because It is too lean, I tried messing with the A/F screw but nothing. What could it be anyone. i'm about to go read jetting thread again but any ideas would be great.

  3.  I have 170 keihin main jets and generic 25 pilot jets in my 01 banshee. When I first bought this banshee (used not brand new) it had the keihin 170 main jets and mikuni 25 pilot jets in stock mikuni carbs. I bought a rebuild kit for the carbs that came with generic 200 main and generic 25 pilot jets. All mechanical parts are stock but it has pro circuit pipes and exhaust (don't know how much difference it makes) So my question is, is it bad to run keihin main jets in mikuni carbs and if not should I use the 170 or the generic 200?And on top of that should I just keep using the mikuni 25 pilot jets or the new generic 25 pilot jets. I ask since I don't know much about jetting and the effects it has on the performance of the banshee. ( oh and I have the tors eliminator kit on it and my stock filter does not have the box. The box was removed and the filter is tightened on to the carbs, just some extra info)

  4. Well I ended up putting the original main jets in the carbs and the needles that go with them because the carb rebuilt kit that I bought had different one so I thought maybe that was causing a the problem and when I did that it started up. So maybe that was it but I also got the idle screw put in right and now it starts on first kick and runs fine so thanks for the suggestions but I got it going now.

  5. If it was only idling with 're choke half out prior you have a few possibilities, either your tors delete still has install issues or most likely your pilot jets are still plugged up. When you pushed the choke in and it idled really high I was my likely because you were running out of fuel on that circuit and pulling air in. Pull the carbs apart, make sure the pilot and mains are cleaned out really well and reassemble carbs making sure they are both mounted on the proper sides with slides in correctly. Been down this road before and my pilot jet took forever to clean as it was so gummed up from old fuel.

Yeah I will check the pilots because it has been sitting for a month so it could be clogged up, but I just rebuilt the carbs the last time I had it going and rid it around (just around the block a couple time for testing purposes) with choke half out. Can it clogged up with only one ride on a fresh rebuild of the carbs?

  6. Ok the boots are good the carbs are good I haven't done the plugs yet but everything else seems to be good. I don't understand why it would be doing this when just a month ago it was starting and idling fine (at least with the choke half out) and since then it hasn't been ridden. I will be putting the plugs in in a couple of days and hope that is what the problem is.

  7. Clean the carbs, set the float level, install new plugs. Check that the carb caps have rubber gasket in them. Check that carb boots aren't torn, cracked, flex them around, don't just look at them.

I did all the carb things, but I will check the carb boots and see if they are worn out. I will be putting to plugs as well.

  8. So I installed the tors eliminator kit and had a problem getting it to stay idling, I ended up needing to file the carbs down more where to screws go and after doing that it would idle and ride fine with the choke half out but when I pushed the choke in it would idle really high then turn off. And I left it at that. Its been like a month since I haven't had time to work on it but I pulled it out yesterday filled it with fresh fuel and couldn't get it to kick on at all after like 400 kicks I gave up for that day. I left everything the way it was from when it was turning on and idling with the choke out. So does any one have any idea why it won't start at all now?

  9. Theres a whole thread on here that tells you exactly how to install the kit and sync the kit. Thats why no one will help you most likely.

Who cares if there is already a thread ( or was). Whats the point of having a website designed for specific help on a specific subject if people get tired of answering the same thing? That wouldn't make much sense would it. I`m to we dod it to use the search function.one thing I can do is whistle like a referee  if a dude sticks 2 fingers in my bunghole.

  10. Ok I installed the tors eliminator kit and I can't get it to stay on with out pushing the throttle. I know that every one is going to say to adjust the screws but my problem is which should I start with the ones on top of the cap or the ones on the side that came with the kit. Also how far do I screw the ones on top down and how far in or out for the ones on the side? The slides are sync and everything is cleaned and put together correctly. I have tried starting with both but I guess I am doing it wrong. Can some one please help.

  11. I just got to page 2 and didn't even care what the other pages had to say. But thanks to the few that had some actual things to help me with and thanks to the rest for the comedy if that's what we are calling it. What I do know is that I can buy a so called "win" and know how to use it. What else would I need to know I can have other people work on it if I want to. That's what you get with money.

  12. Ok so I did all of this and cant get it to stay on. I have adjusted the screws on the side to where they are supposed to be the problem I am having is that I don't know where to leave the screws on top of the caps, meaning how far up or down I should put them. My slides are synced perfectly as well. PLEASE HELP ME lol
