For some reason, CPIs don't always fit correctly. I had one set that fit great, then another that hit the cool head enough to put a quarter sized dent in it. Same bike, and motor. Might want to try the cascade style clamps though. I think they're a bit thinner, and definitely much easier to use. But even then, it might not fit...thats looks pretty bad.

I wonder if bigger stingers would have carried the peak farther without hurting the face? Regardless, that fugger should be a RIOT to ride!
If his motor is anything like mine, it'll have larger stingers, and the larger size flanges.

FWIW, my wife has some t3s on her bike, and the silencers had TT stickers on them for years. They never burnt off, but I ended up removing the stickers and powdering them black.

If there was a pipe comparison, my money is on snipers.

Thought you had a cub

Yeah, pretty much...but the original plan was to a SS. I don't remember the exact reason, but cam was saying something about the exhaust flanges, and that a lady at CP ruined a couple cyls, trying to get them right, blah, blah. And couldn't get them. So, he ordered me in a super cub, and after measuring it out decided that it would have been pretty close to where he would of ported a serval to anyways. So, yes its a cub, lol.

I have one also. Not that I ride it much.

I picked up a set of Coverking Neoprene (Not the neosupreme) ones a couple weeks ago. Spendy, but the fitment is pretty darn good. I think they where around $625. I like them.

I think the last 521 someone built on here took over 2 years.
I want to say mine took around 6 months to build. Even then, the biggest problem was getting the cascade big bore silencers, and custom stingers made. But I also did zero bling. Ceramic coated pipes, anodized head, black cylinders, etc.

Controls, when does it hit the dyno?

Good looking truck, but for a daily driver, a slush box is mandatory for me. For a sports car though, nothing beats rowing through the gears.

My question is just that. And good ideas on how to remove rust on my axel? Bought a shee to start building and the durablue has surface rust pretty bad. Not like thick flaky rust but pretty much covered.

My durablue had a bit of rust too. Must be garbage chrome. I ended up powder coating mine.

I'm using the one that cascade sells on the wifes and my banshee. No problems, and a million times better than the factory dual nut style.

There was a bit of sarcasm in my other post about trick lol. I don't know him as well as some people on here but well enough to give him a hard time, and he in return ships my junk when he's good and ready, and not a moment sooner.

Lol, figures. Next time i order some crap I'll bug him again.

It was easy to put one my old Tundra, but I'm having difficulty putting one on the new truck. Probably could do it if he would give me a shirt. Every time I order something I ask if he has shirts yet, and funny thing is he always says no. Maybe a trick racing sticker would look better on the back window?
-
I guess I was lucky. Mine fit fine, but within 2 rides, the blue was already stressed looking. I wouldn't buy them again.
-
JD, didn't you just buy your truck last year?
-
Just ordered the weather tech floor mats for my truck, and started looking at seat covers. This is my work truck, and I hate to trash it within the first year. Anyone have any suggestions for companys and materials? I kinda liked the thought of neoprene, but wondered what it would be like in the middle of summer.
On a side note, I really like those amp research running boards, think I'm going to pick up a set soon.
-
Do you still have your 7 mil stock cylinder? I'm building one of those next. Once the SS is done.
No, i used it for a donor. I didn't feel like buying straight cuts, cases, transmission, reeds, etc again.
-
You sold your 521 serval pp? I remember you had it for sale for a steal
No, I'm the type of person that won't sell my crap. Someday it'll end up sitting in a shop collecting dust, much like my 3rd gen Rx-7.

Controlls I was doing some research on smart carbs, you should pick some 38s smarts up, and see if they make more power. They say up to 10% more power. If I wasn't starting a purchasing a business, and I had unlimited funds, I'd do it.

Wouldn't it probably be better to just go DM after a 10 super cub? (I'm assuming you can get the cooling issues sorted out for duning a DM.) I was always under the impression that a supers intakes where at their limits, and couldn't flow enough.
I honestly can't imagine duning anything larger than a 10 super. These things are handfulls.

Lol, do they even make a long bed mega cab?

Tell cam to take a photo with his phone and send it to me, and I'll put it up. Unless he's still doing a some R&D on it, before he posts the sheet. I could see him doing that...
