  1. Sprnklerman nailed it. Lol. It took me a second to figure out what I wrote. I'm doing some digging right now. But I need to get to my computer at home Thanks for all the input!
  2. I'm trying to search for a thread related to my issue, but it's taking to damn long. I started getting a mis-fire in the left cylinder, ran a compression check with throttle wide open, found 120 in the right, 50 in the left. Pulled carbs, head, etc. Found a tiny nick in the left piston, no scoring, gouging, etc. The reeds seem a little worn as well. Not completely closed. Motor is stock. Looking at a top end kit. From what I've read, Wisconsin is the way to go. So now my real question. Is there someone in SoCal that I can have the cylinders bored? I'm guessing it is wiser to have them bored, then order pistons, etc. Any other thoughts?
  3. We used to have this issue when I ran my NASCAR Southwest Tour Car. We simply crimped the threaded cap with a wire crimper.
  4. Lol, I've wanted one too long. Besides, I need something to do in the garage when Flo's in town.
  5. Lol, thin skin...yeah, not so much. If ask ask a stupid question without thinking it through, I deserve to be clowned on. Thanks for the responses. All great info. Time to get to work.
  6. One thing I like to do with hose clamps is wrap them with heat shrink tubing. They won't cut into the hose .
  7. Hey guys (and gals). I am new to 2 strokes, but not to riding. I've wanted a Banshee since I was 14. My wife bought me an '02 about a week ago. It's virtually stock with a set of T5's and jetting. I immediately started researching different mods. The first thing I did was order the TORS eliminators. It seems to run pretty decent on the street. Getting ready for this season. Most of the riding we do is open desert, some trail, and occasional glamis day trips. I'm looking to see what all I should look for to see what I may need to prep for the season. The plugs look a little dark, so I picked up a set and installed. It starts on the third kick. Smokes above average when cold, but cleans out. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Kevin
