Chokes on my banshee are STUCK ON! Wats going on?

I have a 2001 Yamaha banshee with 34mm kehin carbs and they both have chokes.. For some reason I turned on my bike with the chokes on and when I tried turning them off they wouldn't go down. They are stuck on! Would any one know why??? Or wat to do??
