  1. Well I knew the case was hit with the chain and that it didn't leak before I bought it. Stupid kid must not have had the chain tight enough or something. From what I've read, this is a common problem. I've already decided that I'm not going to ride it until I get this all sorted out. I'm ordering a new set of renthal sprockets and renthal r3 o-ring chain today. I already have the case saver on order. I just pulled the flywheel cover to verify there are no cracks, and its all good to go!!! I'm also going to have to go through the carbs because it seems as If one I the carbs is running a little richer than the other or vice versa. I need to pull plugs and check out what's going on. Here's a pic of the carnage
  2. Here's a few more pics
  3. Thanks. Haha. Will do
  4. Guy threw some skin industries graphics on it and new rims and tires. Has all the stock crap like the TORS. I hate those things. I used to build and sell blasters and that was the first thing to go. I'm just going to go through it and make it more my own and eliminate all the unnecessary components ie.. E brake, tors, possible graphics ( not big on them) Thanks again guys
  5. Thanks Guys for the greeting and advice. I'm definitely going for some pipes but not sure on which ones. So many opinions on what's better than others. I was looking around at fmf since I've had good luck with them on all my bikes/quads in the past. I'll definitely have to check out the ones you mentioned. I'll get better pics up, but here it is coming to its new home yesterday.
  6. Hey everyone. I'm new to the site and just picked up my first banshee yesterday. It's an all stock 2001 banshee white in color. I've been riding since I was a young child back in the 80's. always wanted a banshee but never had the opportunity to find a decent one. I've ha just about everything else , raptors, 400ex, 300ex, 250x, atc's, Polaris sportsmans, about a dozen yz250's, and just it rid of a KTM 2-stroke. I was looking to get back to a quad to ride in the snow, throw the wife on the back, and the kids can ride on it with me around the yard, but I can still tear up the trails on the weekend. Glad to be a part of the banshee community FINALLY. Now I just need to figure out a way to not spend all my money at once with mods. Just got done ordering the basics, brakes front and rear, two extra filters, e brake block off, oils (mix and gear) case saver. Going to order a new o-ring chain and sprocket set next. Definitely want to do some basic upgrades but still keep it reliable ie.. Pipes, silencers, reeds, jet kit, maybe a k&n. Anyhow thanks for reading.
