  1. Wouldn't it leak out the reeds anyway. But yeah I'm gonna step up my pilot size.
  2. Never mind that when I read your post I skipped "mains". Ok I'll try it.
  3. By violently exploded I mean it ruined my crank and both my pistons. Melted one piston, and warped the other. 27.5 do you know what that is in mikuni talk I don't have any keihin jets to compare to.
  4. Hi everyone I have a 92 banshee with stock mikuni carbs, long k&n air filters, aggressive port job, shaved head, and old school fmf pipes their gold series look to be fattys. Anyway I've currently got 320 mains in it stock needles stock position stock pilots I run it at sea level. Last trip it violently exploded and I'd like suggestions on a safer jet. I'm thinking 330 or 340.
  5. Hey fellas just giving an update. Managed to get a newish set of cylinders and a head then bored it to 65. Was running great in dunes then a sudden sputter and it quit. I'd put up a photo but I don't know how basically my right piston has a pretty serious hole in it now. So 700$ for three tanks worth of running is pretty good right?..right??
  6. Yeah I figured it out. When he honed the cylinders he took them out a bit too far. The cylinders literally just meet the max wear limit. That said we've decided to rebore it and get new pistons $$$. So any recommendations on a .75 over piston.
  7. Yeah that's what I feared I'm pulling the head off again Tomorow
  8. So in the process of applying more power to my bike via porting, I decided that I would have my cylinders honed to deglaze them. After putting the top end back together and kicking it over it creates a clattering noise. Like the piston is moving back and forth in the cylinder. The bike had a noise similar to this but now it's considerably louder. Any tips would be much appreciated.
