  1. This is exactly what I've been lookin for I just wish they were in better condition
  2. It certainly would be a hassle to hunt down all those parts for the rz350. My motor is stock right now I was just considering it for the longer tranny gears for the long roads that you cant hold out in 6th gear on. I think i'll just stick with building the stock motor I have now. Any first step suggestions for that?
  3. Considering swapping out my stock banshee motor for the rz350. Just wanted to get some reliable and time worthy feedback, opinions, pros and cons. I ride a lot of street as well as trails.

  5. If you're selling this you're other toys must be SERIOUS
  6. Yes I Figured that. I figured it would have less torque as well I was just hoping it would pick up in 3rd gear as it does in first. How do you think the two compare to a 1/8 mile drag.?
  7. I have j arm banshee and yes both stock motors if that what you mean no mods
  8. Just wondering how a brand new original rebuilt banshee the first one ever compared to a newly rebuilt rd400 motor. My friend has worked banshee motor and were looking to race obviously I want to beat him. Any ideas or suggestions im willing to put work into either motor. Let me just point out that I already have the rd400.
  9. thanks a ton toofast let you know how it goes!
  10. Well PVL is generally found more in racing and it came with the pvl as well as the 2 to 1 carb kit Im not understanding the issue with that if you could explain locogato. There is no cdi on it which is an obv issue even though it has ran without it. I checked every ground there is. I think tomorrow I will do a stator test and look into getting a CDI. I checked to make sure the pistons were correct as well when kicking. And what I meant by giving it a little charge was I have a battery trickle charge that I hooked up to the wiring for a second. Made a difference with a very low charge. I have the new programmable one but I put my spark tester on my KTM and others and the lighting I see when kicking is a huge difference compared to the shee. And the jetting on the carb is fine. She's plainly just not getting enough juice.
  11. Lmfao I hear that's so bad for 2 strokes because it leaves a bad residue on the pistons. I'm thinking electrical the guy I got it fom said he had problems with low spark as well. There's no CDI on it but according to him with fresh rebuild and new ignition system with out key it ran. Any other reasons for low spark? Immthinking either stator or CDI or timing of tdc. A problem so strong it wants to start but never gets there unless I give my PVL a small charge then it runs for one second.
  12. Tried pull starting it many times while spraying gas into carb and still nothing and good idea too fast. To me it sounds like a combination of low spark as well as not enough gas reaching the spark plugs because they're usually pretty dry but I'm leaning more to the electrical side since my 2 to 1 conversion carb kit is brand new. PVL is fairly new as well
  13. Recently purchased a shee with a Yamaha rd400 motor I was told it was running with fresh rebuild put away, currently not running after 8 months compression is at 108 with dim dim spark wants to start. Ignition system seems to be wired okay (PVL) there is no CDI box not exactly sure how to test stator? Any comments or suggestions. All the help is needed this is becoming a big headache. Thanks guys
  14. I've been thinking the motor is too big for a carb that small that far away from the motor.
  15. I'm having a similar issue with my banshee. It's a newly rebuilt rd400 motor in it and it has 2 to 1 conversion kit on it. When I got the rebuild back it ran. I rode it for a few minutes then put it away for half a year and now it wont run and the carb is clean and getting gas but my spark plugs are bone dry. I'm thinking the carb isn't big enough for the conversion kit (35mil) or is too big/far from motor. the carb is good 5 inches from reeds and motor. its getting very close to starting but never does and I tried pull starting it and nothing. Spark and compression as well as ignition system are all good. Any suggestions or ideas?
